Uncle has just died on the way into London from Essex. His daughters were bridesmaids and mum and dad are driving them to the hospital now to see my Aunty. He’s 68. Sister is chatting to the lady taking the service now about whether to go ahead or not. Please pray.

Tragedy…
Friday, March 31st, 2006What’s in a name?
Friday, March 31st, 2006What should I call this blog? Tiffer’s blog was unoriginal, The blog of Tiffer wasn’t much better. I could use “All fat is the Lords” which is my SoF sig. How does one go about choosing such a difficult thing? I found ee’s comments on his own blog rebranding helpful.
PDA Trauma
Thursday, March 30th, 2006How come my nice cheap replacement styluses (styli?) have come in the mail exactly the same day that I lose my hideously expensive 1GB SD card. I think God uses my PDA as a character building plaything.
All going well-am addicted to checking my blog for comments so thank you all who have left them. I do promise I will get more interesting as time goes on…
Am preaching this weekend on the last bit of the Lords prayer (thine is the glory etc) and have no idea where to start, suggestions welcome. I have usually switched off at that bit.
Of course first we have to survive my sisters wedding on Sat (yes April fools day-any ideas?) so if you see a party of weddingy people skulking out of St Pauls Cathedral Saturday afternoon give us a wave. All pie reception in the oldest pub in London. I like pie.
Hotel Tiffer
Thursday, March 30th, 2006Yesterday the Youth Worker at the Cathedral asked me if I could take one of his youth home as for various (good) reasons she can’t go back to her family. That will make 3 guests in total at the moment, a teacher, an evangelist and a youth. Amy did her usual “We don’t have enough space left it isn’t fair on the others etc etc” which is all very fair enough, but consented when she realised it was that or the streets for this girl. So I came home with said youth to find my study converted into a bedroom! The cheek!
She was amazing all night and looked after youth and everyone else even while I had gone out for a drink with my SD! I’m very proud.
My New Blog
Wednesday, March 29th, 2006Well here it is, my first genuine attempt at a blog.
Having been an avid blog reader for quite a while now (see links!), I started to feel a bit strange about not having a blog myself. After one of our current houseguests Mark commented that living with my wife and I was like living in a particularly good SitCom I have decided perhaps I am interesting enough that you will all want to read my thoughts. So a little about myself to start.
I am 22 and a Christian, have been since 2001. Brought up in London/Gibraltar/Serbia/France (INPO) and went to Warwick Uni to do Engineering. During my degree I felt a call to Anglican ordination despite my dislike of Anglicanism and its dodgy practices. Followed this up when I left Uni by working as a Pastoral Lay Assistant in St Margaret’s Whitnash, which was brilliant. I am currently the Student Worker for Coventry Cathedral(first Cathedral Student Worker in UK to my knowledge) and I am off to Ridley Hall theological college in September, with my darling wife Amy.
I enjoy real ale, reading, theology and quirky humour.
